Technology

At Sarasota Dental Arts, we've invested in state-of-the-art technology to give you the safest, most efficient, most effective, and most comfortable treatment possible. Our advanced technology allows us to do everything from taking highly detailed images of your mouth to placing dental implants with incredible precision.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays are one of our most important diagnostic tools. They allow us to take a peek inside your teeth and beneath your gums to watch for any concerns that might be developing. This allows us to catch problems easily so that they can be treated before they cause you any pain or inconvenience.

Digital Imaging System

Using our digital imaging system, your diagnostic images can be analyzed in great detail. We are able to zoom in, enlarge, rotate, and enhance your images to get a better idea of precisely what’s going on. These images can then be easily stored in your electronic medical record so that they can be quickly retrieved for comparison with new images. All of this means faster, easier diagnosis and less time waiting for images to develop or be retrieved.

Intraoral Cameras

Images taken with digital intraoral cameras can be easily displayed on chairside screens. This gives Dr. Aygen an enhanced view of your mouth and makes it easier for him to show you any areas of concern. Digital images are also used when we are creating customized restorations, including crowns, veneers, and dentures.

Lasers

Laser dentistry allows us to perform a range of treatments with improved precision, greater comfort, less bleeding, and a faster healing time. We use lasers to remove damage or decay to prepare for fillings and other restorations, and we can also use lasers to remove diseased periodontal tissue or destroy bacterial infections.

Rotary Endodontics

Using rotary endodontics, we can perform more comfortable root canals with a higher success rate. These instruments make it easier for Dr. Aygen to remove the infection from your tooth and help ensure that reinfection does not occur.

CT Guided Implant Surgery

When we place implants, precision is of the utmost importance. The posts must be placed at the correct angle and to the correct depth for proper healing and restoration. By using the technology of computed tomography, Dr. Aygen can precisely place implants and always get it right the first time.

Criticare Patient Monitoring System

Your safety is always of the utmost important to us, and that’s why we use Criticare monitoring systems to keep track of your vitals while you are receiving treatment under anesthesia or IV sedation.

Paperless Technology

Paperless technology provides a number of benefits. For instance:

  • You can check in for your appointment faster.
  • All of your records are in one place.
  • Records aren’t lost or misplaced.
  • We can quickly access and view past treatments to track your progress.

Additionally, paperless technology is easier to store and doesn’t place an extra burden on the environment.

Microscopic Loupes and Light

Dr. Aygen uses magnifying loupes and light during your treatment to increase his ability to view your teeth and the area being treated in ways that the unassisted human eye simply can’t. This allows for faster diagnosis and more accurate and precise treatment.

Noise-Reducing Headphones

For many people, the sounds of the dental office can create or increase anxiety, especially the high-pitched noises created by certain tools used for cleaning or shaping teeth. We’ve found that wearing noise-canceling headphones can reduce stress and make treatment much more comfortable and pleasant.
