Let’s come right out and say it – few people like going to the dentist.
It’s okay! You won’t hurt our feelings!
We’re on a mission, though. One of our goals is to provide dentistry that is so comfortable, friendly, and patient focused that our patients actually enjoy coming to our office.
Think that sounds far-fetched?
Here are just a few of the ways we accomplish this:
1. IV sedation
You should never have to dread a dental appointment.
We recognize that nearly three-quarters of all Americans cope with some level of dental anxiety, and we are determined to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. IV sedation reduces anxiety and helps you feel drowsy. While the medication doesn’t put you to sleep, many patients feel so comfortable and relaxed that they are drowsy right through their treatment!
2. Laser dentistry
Using lasers, we can perform an incredible array of treatments with greater comfort and faster healing times. Therapy with dental lasers allows us to avoid using older treatment methods, which often involved snips and stitches. We think you’ll agree with us that this is a good thing.
3. Inviting and home-like location
Sitting around waiting in a clinical lobby can increase your anxiety and make you feel like a number on a chart. We don’t see you that way, and we don’t want you to, either! Our lobby is designed to look and feel like a living room, complete with amenities like a beverage station so you can kick back and relax before your appointment. Our treatment rooms feature soothing colors and plenty of natural light.
4. Friendly and supportive staff
Every member of our team is here because he or she believes strongly in providing the very best possible dental care to the members of our community – and those who are visiting for the season! We like to smile and laugh, and we’ll do whatever it takes to help make your visit special and fun!
5. Noise-canceling headphones
This might seem like such a small detail, but it truly points out how dedicated we are to your comfort. For many patients with dental anxiety, the sounds of the dental office can heighten their anxiety and make it worse. By providing headphones that allow you to enjoy your favorite music while drowning out the sounds of the office, you can relax and feel more secure.
At Sarasota Dental Arts, we are dedicated to increasing patient comfort in any way we can. If you can think of additional ways we can improve your dental experience, don’t hesitate to let us know!
