Will my insurance pay for my procedure?
Unfortunately, most insurance questions are never a simple “yes” or “no.” Much depends on the parameters of your insurance plan and the type of treatment you are getting.
Before we perform any treatment, we will review your coverage and provide you with an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs. Some insurance plans will pay for a large portion of your treatment while others pay a smaller percentage. Some insurance plans will cover preventive treatments 100% but don’t cover restorative or emergency treatments. Most insurance plans won’t cover any part of restorative treatments such as teeth whitening or veneers.
Ultimately, the best way to learn more about your insurance plan is to read through the materials they have provided (these are often available through your insurer’s website or through your employer’s HR department). We recognize that these materials can often be dense and confusing, and we are more than happy to help you understand them better.
If you find that you need treatment that has a large out-of-pocket cost, we are happy to discuss your options. These might include third-party credit providers like CareCredit or short-term payment plans. We don’t want budgeting concerns to make it difficult for you to get the care you need, so please let us know if you need help! Give our office a call today to get started.
